In memoriam

With deep regret and profound sadness, the Brazilian Association of Rorschach and Projective Methods - ASBRo - announces the death of the beloved Professor Dr. André Jacquemin, on September 1st, 2017.

Professor André Jacquemin conceived, created, and founded the ASBRo. He excelled in the world of Brazilian Psychology for his tremendous scientific competence and knowledge, and also for the kind and welcoming way he treated all those who sought him.

His brilliant professional career includes his work as a teacher and researcher, and a supervisor of undergraduate and postgraduate research, with a vast and consistent scientific production. He also held prominent administrative positions, contributing unequivocally to Psychology both as a science and as a profession.

As one of the most prominent names in Psychological Assessment, with national and international recognition, he contributed like few others to the reflections on this area of practice and he lent his voice to champion the seriousness necessary for professional performance in the diverse contexts of psychological evaluation.

Our eternal recognition goes to this great man.

On behalf of ASBRo, we convey our deepest feelings of sympathy to family and friends who shared his brilliant journey.

Paulo Francisco de Castro
ASBRo President
